My all-time favorite CD. This is the only CD I've ever owned where I like ALL of the songs :0)
CD Reviews
Still their best

"I've had this CD since it's release and can still listen to in over and over. I can't say enough about it. Though I own and love each of their CD's, this is still my favorite. Everyone is familiar with "I Believe" and most have heard "Let me be the One" but this album offers a wide selection ranging from religious to secular, upbeat to gentle, simple to deep. The acoustic sets are beautiful and songs such as "oh virginia" get you tapping your feet in an instant. This album has so much heart and a helluva lot of soul.(read my other blessid union reviews!)"
Great soulful debut

"This CD came out when I was 12 yrs old, I loved it then and I love it now. The lead singer's voice is beautiful and captivating. Musically, they are diverse and most importantly, these guys got soul. BUS has great musical arrangements and lyrics that are rarely heard in modern day popular music. "Would You Be There" will make you want to dance, "Nora" will have you in tears, "Home" will put a smile on your face, and "I Believe" will give you perspective. There is a strong spiritual vibe at times, which usually is not my thing, but they aren't preachy at all - the lyrics are all about love and peace, something the world is in deperate need of. This debut is truly a showcase of sincere, fresh optimism expressed through a mixture of rock and soul."
One of those CD's you always take with you

"I still to this day don't know what made me buy this CD but I am SO glad I did! I truly believe this is the finest example of song writing I've ever had the privilege to listen to. The first time I played the CD I stopped and sank to the floor and did noting but close my eyes and listen to the music. I think I played nothing but "Home" for the first three months. The whole album is thought provoking and deeply moving. But my favorite tracks are "All Along" and "Let Me Be The One" This is the one CD that you MUST have."
Mind music

"The simple, individual songs of this album give way to great themes and a complexity that comes from this album as a whole. From beginning to end, each song blends well with the others and inspires the lister to really think about what the artists are yearning for/about/towards, yet it's not whiny or in your face. BUOS has a soulful quality that lets you take the music wherever suits you best. For this reason every time you listen to it, you find new things to hear and understand; some songs never stop touching you. The song "Nora" still brings me to tears and "Oh, Virginia" is everything a joyful homecoming should be. Obviously their first, but indicative of some of the great things they are capable of achieving in the future. Music for mind and soul."
They are the best

"I think this album offers alot to anyone, whether they've heard any of BUOS songs or not. I only heard one of their songs in America last summer, and I was hooked. I've got all of their albums and, frankly, they are all great. I love "Home", with it's deep and meaningful song lyrics, that not many bands today have. My favourite song is Nora. Everytime I listen to it, it just gets better. I would recommend any of BUOS's albums, whether you've heard their music or not. If you just want music to relax to, or you want songs that you can relate to, buy their albums. They are, quite simply, great."
