"This is a beautiful CD. Bla Pahinui plays music to honour his Father, Gabby. Gabby Pahinui was a legend amongst Hawaiian Slack Key Guitarists. The songs are mellow infusions of R&B with Slack Key. The stories between the songs told by Bla demonstrate the fondness still felt. As with all the Slack Key releases on this label, the notes contain a wealth of information about Slack Key, Hawaii, and the songs. If you are interested in Slack Key Guitar music, or a son's tribute, this CD will interest you."
