""Vespertine" is an album that is just DYING to be remixed...so when i saw that there were 2 remixes on this single... i near died with excitement.
Unfortunately... the remixes are both very gentle, and well... not all that great. Imagine taking pagan poetry, introducing a drum machine (and not a good one)... it's very minimal... and just plain ol' average."
Pleasant editing & remixing (under a provocative cover)

"The PAGAN POETRY VIDEO EDIT sounds relatively intact despite trimming. PAGAN POETRY (MATTHEW HERBERT HANDSHAKE MIX) is neat. Backing up the beat with rework, it sounds like she's a tiny pixie flying around the inside of a groovin` clock! The lyrical meaning is lessened though. This foresty, Isobel-Bachelorette club successor had potential for a thick remix, but here it has been thinned down, as also has AURORA (OPIATE VERSION), sparsely created in the same vein as many remixes on Telegram or of "Hunter". The silly "Aurora - goddess" lyric is retained, which I could've done without in the otherwise beautiful original. All in all, if you are really into collecting her music this would be a decent addition."
Bjork On Poetry... Pagan Poetry!

"I take this song seriously up to the point were Bjork reiterates "I love Him" several time, I just can't help but to laugh. I think Pagan Poetry was a song that was a bit over done, and we could have settled for something that was less advanced. I am giving this item a 4 because I do think the mix of "Pagan Peotry" is interesting and I love the opiate version of "Aurora".1.) Pagan Poetry = Very interesting song that you can only take seriously up to a certain point. This song has great background music.2.) Pagan Poetry = This version of the song is great, and it even starts out with the recherché lyrics at the begining of the song.3.) Aurora (Opiate Version)= This is the prize of the single, the beat to this song is great and the lyrics are just so irresistible. If your a Bjork fan, you'll love this single, if you want to become a Bjork fan than this isn't the single for you to get quite yet."
