"March 20th marked the release of two Bone Thugs albums. L-Burna AKA LAyzie bones "Thug By Nature" which I felt was a good but not great album, definalty worht buying. And also "The Gift " by Bizzy Bone which is a GREAT album. When I bought the first Bizzy album "Heavenz Movie" I thought it was solid but not great. It showed flashes of Bizzy at his best on tracks like "Thugz Cry" "Social Studies" "Nobody Can Stop Me" and "Demons Surrond Me"..... but it also showed some weak minute long tracks and weak skits that REALLY watered the album down. I am a huge Bone Thugs fan so I was going to buy "The Gift" no matter what but I will admit I was skeptikal. Krayzie in my opinion has prooven to be a great solo artist and after hearing Layzies album he has prooven to be a good one as well.... as for Bizzy, he definatly has a orignal style and flow but "Heavenz Movie" lacked consistancy and made me wonder. Well..... after hearing "the gift" I admit I was wrong. This album is AMAZING. Now it wont get nominated for rap album of th year or anything becuase it doesnt get the promotion and exposre of a Dr. Dre or DMX album..... but this album is just as good as ANYTHING I've heard in a while. It is 100 times better than Bizzy's debut album. There ar no stupid 30 seconds skits on this album, it is just bizzy dropping his quick-as-cat raps in his trademakr high voice. The tracks "Schizophrenic", "Before I Go", "Fried Day", and "Father" are the standout tracks, but EVERY SINGLE track on here would have been ONE OF THE BEST on "heavenz movie". I am not one of those people who say every album is "great" in every single review I write. In my reviews of previous Bone albums I gave Layzies 4 stars, Krayzies 5 stars, Heavenz Movie 3 stars, Resurerection 3 stars, the Collection vol.2 3 stars, Collection vol. 1 4 stars. Art of War 5 stars, E 1999 5 Stars, Creepin On Ah Come Up 4 Stars....... so compare those ratings with my rating of Bizzys "The Gift" getting 5 stars and see how I think it goes in the same category as "e 1999 eternal", "art of war", and "thug mentality"..... March 20th 2001 was a good day.... a very solid above average release from Layzie Bone and a SUPER album from Bizzy Bone. If the Grammy's werent so based on exposire and promotion then Bizzy would have a good shot at winning best rap album at next years grammys,, but of course Eminem will get it cuz he gets more exposure and promotion. "The Gift" is a great album, go buy it now"
Another Bone Thug masterpiece

"Im telling yall, Bone Thugs dont get the credit they deserve. People get too caught up with rappers like Nelly(who's alright but not the most skilled rapper), Eminem(who's pretty tight for a whiteboy but its not his skills that sell his albums its his image and controversy), etc. etc. So after alot of that, its refreshing to hear and album that all I can really say is that its real. Realer than Eminem, realer than all these other commercialized rappers. This album is so deep, that as far as subject matter goes, its like on a 2Pac kind of thing. Perfect example is the song "Before I Go". This track not only bangs with its production but Bizzy's flows on this song are something I have rarely heard. Just listen to the anger in the man's voice on this track. Songs like "Still Thuggish Ruggish", "Father", and my favorite track "Dont Doubt Me", make this a must have. Then you have the rest of the album with songs like "Voices In My Head" which is not only funny but downright real."Dont Be Dumb" is another standout track. This album is something worth having believe me. I dont think anyone expected this from Bizzy Bone. And go get Layzie's album too, its hot!!"
Pretty good 2nd Solo effort

"Two and a half years since his best album "Heavenz Movie", Bizzy returns with another 14 songs album. Not as good as his debut but slightly better then "Alpha & Omega". He has some more deeper songs on here and gets alot off his chest on this album. Most of the songs are average (6 of the 14), 5 are good, and 3 I skip. No guests at all so all you get is Bizzy Bone on every track. Production is decent but nothing great. Darren Vegas does 11 of the 14 songs, Hot One does 2, and Tony C does 1. A good album to have for his fans but it is not his best work.

"Alpha & Omega is good, and so is Heaven'z Movie, but this is simply the best of the three. Every track is perfect. Production and lyrics rock. The lyrics were great on Alpha & Omega, and the production was great on Heaven'z Movie, but this is the only album with both. Bottom line: Buy this album, or download it, who cares? You need this album."
Everything imaginable, he spits !!!

"If someone could take all of your thoughts and put them on wax, this album is what it would sound like. This guy is an unpolished diamond who can provide something for every listener.
Even if you dont like his unorthadox style or sound, if you were to write down what he is saying on paper, you'd think you were listening to a mastermind. It seems like all of Bone can write real Hip Hop from the heart, I've noticed not many will step up to the plate in hip hop and be creative. So I guess people are lucky that Bone is'nt riding the band wagon, because if they were, alot of rappers would be on welfare."
