"Vocally this album was a big improvement vocally then from the first one. The parts are well blended and the songs are just awesome. The top songs has to be It Shall Come To Pass , Lord We Bless Your Name , New Beginning, and God is. You can feel the presence of God on these songs. Byron Cage has a tough act to follow because Kevin Bond is a gifted, anoited young man."

"Just when you thought you knew Total Praise and New Birth, they throw you another curve ball. A New Beginning is just that, A New Beginning. The messages that Bishop Long has on this CD is right on time as always and the choir under Kevin Bond shows you that they are anything but predictable. I tip my hat to everyone involved in this project and it is just awesome. Worship has many faces and I think it's time that all of the faces are shown. Keep dreaming and keep moving...."

"How do you inspire and unify a city, community, and a new nation of believers? Simply gather together a radical group of worshipers, a team of ministers with mentoring qualities, a mass choir with astonishing voices, 3 talented choir directors and the leadership of a fiery pastor that has made a difference in the lives of many in Atlanta, Lithonia, and abroad. You have just introduced yourself to the mission of The New Birth Total Praise Choir & Community Church. Led by the guidance of Bishop Eddie L. Long and his "taking authority" approach to leading a congregation, the New Birth Total Praise Choir released their sophomore album aptly titled, "A New Beginning." This second installment to their debut, "Spirit & Truth" is appropriately named as it focuses on the future of the believers. The architect behind this powerfully endless worship excursion is Kevin Bond. (My favorite producer and pianist!!) He shares responsibilities as a choir director and leads the musical perfection of one of the greatest bands ever to grace a sanctuary, F.L.O.W. (short for, "Following the Leading of the Wind.") Formerly known as the G.A.M.E, Kevin Bond and F.L.O.W connect on all cylinders. The album was mostly written, produced, and arranged by Bond, but also gathers creative input from the other members of the band as well as choir director Kim McCormick and producer Chris Byrd. The lyrics are based heavily on scripture. One of the strongest songs is Bond's trademarked "It Shall Come To Pass." The vocals are outstanding featuring a guest appearance from Bond's praise team, NUPRAZ, as well as a chord structure that resembles "It's Already Done." (Another Bond production from Bishop T. D. Jakes, "Wing and A Prayer" in 2002.) Other solid performances include Bond's & bassist Darrell Freeman's, "Lord, We Bless Your Name," which contains blazing production and a funky drum solo from Bond's longtime drummer, Jeremy Haynes. "A New Beginning," the title-track is simply inspiring and "God Is" is definitely awesome. Plus, "Be Healed," "Sacrifice of My Praise," the '90s Quincy Jones'-style production of "Christ In Me," the traditionally-induced "Magnify the Lord," Holy Are You, Lord" and "Make His Praise Glorious" also deliver magic on this project. What adds more depth to this album are the portions of Bishop Long's properly placed sermon entitled, "God Starts With A Dreamer." This is a solid 2nd effort and a fitting reminder that God will do a 'new thing' in anyone He sees fit to use!! Can't wait for number 3, y'all!!!"

"I enjoyed the first project, but this one blows it out the water. There are several immediate attention getters on this album. Everything from a funky band with hot tracks to a spiritual, relevant message from an annointed choir. Some of my favorites that my choir is sure to do; God Is (hot track), A New Beginning, Lord We Bless Your Name (Sick Drummer), It Shall Come to Pass (Churchy joint) Make His Praise Glorious (The Rock Hop)and Be Healed is simply beautiful. If you are looking for new choir material for your church, your car or your pod, THIS IS IT!!"

"I received this CD as a gift on 3/4/06 and felt the anointing of God all over it before I even opened it. The instruments, the voices, the prophetic Word given by Bishop Long---awesome and full of wonder! What a joyful noise unto the Lord! I believe anyone with an understanding of the kingdom of God and His power will be encouraged, uplifted, and their spiritual gifts stirred up after listening to this CD. Praise God for Bishop Long, his gift, and sharing his anointed choir with the body of Christ and the world."
