Great re-issue of an important early album

"I'm delighted to see this reissued as an MP3, having treasured it on CD for years. This is a live early recording of Bireli with excellent co-guitarist Vic Juris. It's all acoustic and has a very loose and lively feel. These guys were young and not afraid of crashing and burning, which they almost do on a few occasions.



The version of Chick Corea's "Spain" is the best I have ever heard, and Bireli's go-for-broke solo (he solos second) may be the most amazing acoustic guitar solo I have ever heard. Unbelievable.



This is a unique recording for Bireli - not Django-esque (though he is the very best guitarist in that style, in my opinion) nor mainstream electric or fusion but a very jazzy electro-acoustic style only represented on this recording. Worthwhile."
