CD ReviewsI'm Gonna Sue! Blues Baby | 10/27/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "Well, yer Honor, it was this way, see...There I was sitting on my bar stool, an innocent lamb (you know the type) when these BillyBlues boys started singin' "Water, Wood, and Corn." They got to the part about "Amazing Grace, How sweet the Shine, I once could see But now I'm blind." That's when I fell on the floor laughing and broke my funny bone. Then when I tried to stand up I slipped and fell again in the pool of tears I'd shed over "Blues Stay Away From Me." It's all their fault. Anyway, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it...Seriously, folks, this album arrived as a most welcome gift during a long and arduous journey of my own. I may love Eric Hoffer, but he makes my head hurt sometimes. Nothing like the right kind of music to soothe the pain of a mean old world. A real Bronx cheer at the Boogeyman. Ever want to just lie down and give up? First listen to "High Winds and Hailstones." You'll feel better. The most exquisite thing about great music is that it looks clear deep inside and sets you straight up again for another run. Hit replay, boys - what's taking album #4 so long?" Thoughts . . . Sue | Columbus, India | 05/21/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "As a fan of Billy Blue's first two CD's, I was eager to hear their third. I wasn't disappointed. I enjoy "dissecting" each song - listening to one part at at time, loving the way the instrumental and voice harmonies compliment each other and bring depth to the music. I sometimes find myself listening to the harmonies as though they were melody lines. The subtle - and sometimes not so subtle - humor found in many of the lyrics makes this CD fun. Like others, I'm waiting now for their 4th!"
