"There was a time when there was "Western" in "Country & Western Music." And there were silver screen cowboys who rode tall in the saddle, who fought the bad guys and woo'd the Mexican maidens, who punched the doogies and who knew right from wrong.



Comparisons are seldom fair. I can only say that if you like Marty Robbins you'll love Billy Walker. Although, quite clearly, Mr. Walker is not as well known today.



These are wonderful Western songs. Are they the real West? Well, "Red River Valley," and "Little Joe, the Wrangler" sure are. And "Cross the Brazos at Waco" sure ought to be!



Perhaps you've heard Bobby Bare sign "Pour me another tequila, Shelia." Then you're going to love listening to these Western songs!
