Album DescriptionBilly? Mitchell?s songs are inspired by the whimsy of Jimmy Buffett, the wit of Shel Silverstein, the eccentricity of John Prine with a dash of Spike Jones thrown in for good measure. "Billy?s music is like a trip to Key West via "The Twilight Zone"; great fun, full of musical surprises." says Ed Dillon, former touring member of The Clancy Brothers (Irish Folk legends). The songs were written during a stay on the Gulf of Mexico?s Florida coast and not only captured the carefree spirit of the region, but reflect Billy?s "the glass is half-full" philosophy. The 12 song ebut CD of original songs spans genres from Beach tunes, to Bluegrass, to Folk, R & B and Country. The songs are classic lyric based, story songs written from an angst-free, post adolescent point of view. Not to be taken seriously, the CD is full of serious fun. "What?s so Bad About Feelin? Good?" was produced at Ark Studios in Fairhaven, MA and features 14 guest musicians.
