Polak | Baltimore, MD United States | 02/24/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "I've talked to Bill about this album and I don't think it was one of his favorites because of the way it was recorded. It was indeed recorded very primitively and the mixing and sound is no more than adequate.
This is my 2nd favorite Bill Staines album because it represents Bill at the height of his creativity and many of his classic songs are on here. BTW: My favorite album is Sandstone Cathedrals. If you like songwriting in the folk tradition, than the album is a MUST own. Side 2 is pure genius from start to finish(I had the album on vinal) So... I recommend you get it!!!" |
