"These days any unpretentious, simply stated recording is considered kids' music. Of course Bill's subtitle "...More Songs for Kids, Cars, and Campfires" contributes to the potential misconception. This album is appropriate for kids, but it isn't "kids' music." It's a collection of mostly familiar songs, with mostly simple arrangements, about mostly fun stuff, that I, being an old "folkie," enjoy very much. These songs are not widely recorded. Buy it for the kids if you like, but don't pass on it for that. One minor criticism: I don't like the saxophone on "Song of Peace." I think a flute (used effectively in other Bill Staines recordings) or perhaps a harmonica would be better."
