The tracks include covers of the most influential guitarists of the baby boomer age in their bluesiest modes . Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Johhny Winter, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Billy Gibbons, Jimmy Page and Rory Gallagher are represented. Bill sings and plays all instruments on the project including guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and harmonica. "Most blues albums you hear are today's guitarists doing covers of the original blues masters, like Eric Clapton doing Robert Johnson songs." Bill observes, "This album highlights the guitar players who were most influential to me. Raw Material is the basis for everything that comes after it, and for me that's blues. Without albums like Cream's Wheels of Fire, I wouldn't have been introduced to blues. This CD pays homage to my teachers."
