"A perplexing, mesmerizing work, Panchpuran finds Jones carrying on the legacy of such progressive folkies as Jansch, Carthy, Denny, Nic Jones, and such, yet without falling into a very common pitfall. Many contemporary artists see such visionaries as the bearers of tradition -- drawing upon their music in a one-dimentional manner, and ignoring their adventurous spirit. Jones makes no such error, invigorating such chestnuts as "The Devil and the Farmer's Wife" (part of "Tuney Song Set") and "Tam Lin" (SPECTACULAR!!!) with a bold vision that still resonates with the power of tradition. . .sterling, to say the least."
