"No, I don't work for this label. But with so much time and energy dedicated these days to producing mainstream run-of-the-mill stuff like "smooth jazz" it's nice to see someone bringing the vintage masters to the table. If you like the sounds of Marty Paich, Shorty Rogers, Jack Sheldon, Art Pepper, Bill Perkins or any of the other West Coasters from the fabulous 50's here's another classic to add to you collection. Bill Holman, sax man and master arranger of the genre, gets together with drummer Mel Lewis and an all-star cast to swing in the coolest of ways. Highly recommended and check out the other V.S.O.P. titles."
