"Oh man! This CD is cool. Though, it does contain songs from the first two Rocky soundtracks (like, Reflections from Rocky, Conquest from Rocky II, and Gonna Fly Now from Rocky) it still contains some really new and fresh songs like Eye Of The Tiger, Take You Back (Tough Gym), a new version of Take You Back performed by Frank Stallone, Mickey, Adrian, Decision, and Pushin. My personal favorites are "Eye Of The Tiger", "Take You Back (Tough Gym)", "Pushin", "Take You Back", and "Gonna Fly Now" If you have got a few bucks to spend and you want to have great songs like Pushin', Eye of the Tiger, or both Take You Back songs this is the one to get. Heck, how about getting all of the Rocky soundtracks like I did (except Rocky 5 because I do not care for Rap) and listen to them over and over again, sounds great to me!"
Rocky III Soundtrack is Retread

"After the overwhelming success of the magnificent soundtracks to Rocky and Rocky II, Bill Conti is left with the unenviable task of reviving once again most of the same music and presenting it "fresh" in Rocky III. Unfortunately, one can only play a dime for so long before losing it, and this is what happens in Rocky III.
It's virtually the same music as in the first two Rocky movies, with only a few new compositions. The movie's theme, Eye of the Tiger" is moving and full of energy, but is this one track enough to justify purchasing this album? "Adrian" is another "new" track, but it is vry similar to other instrumental love tracks in the previous Rocky movies. Recycled once again are "Conquest", "Gonna Fly Now", "Take Me Back", and "Reflections". All the previously mentioned are in my opinion inferior to their originals.
In short, the music on this album falls short of the Rocky standard and is TK'od by the originals. I'd skip this album, as the music is avaliable on other releases. This album is only for the consumate Rocky fan collector who needs completion in their collection.
