"I don't know the best way to explain this collection. Varese Records finally got it right when they released Greatest Hits Volume 1. That set showed why Bill Anderson is a legend. It featured all of his mega-huge hits. But there is always another side.Greatest Hits 2 shows the other side of Bill Anderson. It showed Bill Anderson as a recording artist knocking off hit after hit. Kind of like the difference in seeing a picture of someone and actually seeing them in action. All the songs here are original recordings, and this set is the first to put his hits with Jan Howard and Mary Lou Turner on CD. The notes are awesome and feature recording dates and peak chart positions. My favorite is the cover picture. It is a shame this set is out of print, as few paint the picture of Bill Anderson's career as well as this one."
