CD Reviews

It's just sad really...

"Unfortunately I had the chance to listen to this whole CD with one of my friends recently. I have never been more dissapointed with any form of music in my life...I don't even think that it is fair to call this music. The beats are simple and Im pretty sure I have already heard them in all the other meaningless rap hits of the day. So my problem with the Big Tymers is that they have no real ryhming talents and it's like the only reason they make a beat is to fill up the background of their 3rd grade ryhming ablities. And rapping about all the money/jewelry/clothes/cars you have just dosent do a lot for me...i mean how am i supposed to relate to that? There is just no substance on this cd and its sad that this cd was ever #1. And its not like i dont like rap, i love rap...if you want some substance, talent, and actual studio creavtivity pick up something from Outkast, Blackalicious, The Roots, Mos Def, Jurassic 5, or Goodie Mob....those guys are real hip hop music."
Can you say zero talent?

"Man, these guys are worthless. How many songs can you write about cars, hoes, and liquor? Yet these leaches are all over MTV...well, there is no accounting for the public's taste. For real hip-hop, I suggest KRS-ONE, KOOL G RAP, GURU, THE ROOTS, TRIBE, DE LA, AND OF COURSE ANY THING ON DEF JUX. The public needs to boycott all of the Cash Money Millionaires...they don't have a clue as to what hip hop is. Word!"
This album is wack...OH YEAH!!!Big Tymers is wack OH YEAH!!!

"Man, I don't understand how all of you people rate albums so easily...peeps give out 5 stars just the way they give record stores the money to buy this garbage - with ease. How can you comment on how people are just "hating" on the Big Tymers on purpose? I mean, c'mon...pay attention to what you're listening to...how can you honestly tell me it's not wack? Ca$h Money has the tendency to flow (if you even wanna call it a flow with their simple Mother Goose rhymes) about the most common and senseless subjects - flossin' and bossin'. How am I supposed to relate to their material? Throughout all of my years of listening to hip-hop, I've been more than inspired by all of its thought-provoking messages and storytelling, yet the only stories that the Big Tymers have to tell are what kind of chrome they're sittin on, and it's annoying. I base part of my rating an album on how I relate to the artist(s), yet, I can't even remotely relate to the Big Tymers because I don't floss ice, I don't got a blingy pinky finger, I don't got gold teeth in my mouth, and I ain't sittin on chrome. I'm sorry, but it's artists AND albums like these that disgrace and hurt the reputation that hip-hop has struggled so hard to earn throughout the years. I suggest you buy some real music and that's all I have to say about this garbage because this isn't even worth my time."
