"Ladies and gentlemen, without the lyrical skills of Big Pun, the Terror Squad will never be the same. It's like Bad Boy without Biggie or The Roc without Jay Z. In a short amount of time, Big Pun had already gathered a fan base and had loyal supporters from New York to other places around the world. "Endangered Species" is a tribute to Big Pun just like "Born Again" was a tribute to the Notorious BIG. The difference is that on this CD, these are all actual songs and not a fabrication of songs put together to make a CD, like "Born Again" was. "Endangered Species" features early Big Pun songs, tracks that he was featured on that may have been on other artist's CDs and a few unreleased tracks as well. This CD was well put together. The 1st single, "How We Roll" w/Ashanti is vintage Big Pun and will remind some people of last year's "It's So Hard" w/Donell Jones. Througout the CD, you are reminded of all the classic Big Pun verses that he put out throughout his rap career, that was tragically cut short. My personal favorites inculde the unreleased songs "Brave In The Heart" and "My World", classic posse cuts "Banned From TV" and "John Blaze", and Big Pun classics such as "Whatcha Gonna Do" "Off The Books" w/Beatnuts & Cuban Link, & "Twinz" (Deep Cover '98). You should also check out the freestyle with Remy Martin that uses the beat to DMX's "Get At Me Dog". To anyone that doesn't have most of these songs on CD because they are on other rap artist's Cds, this is a nice collection of songs to have, especially if all the Big Pun songs you have are on "Capital Punishment" or "Yeeeah Baby". This is an excellent tribute for the artist known as Big Punsiher."

"The one person who can be credited with bringing latin hiphop to the forefront is Big Punisher aka Christopher Rios, Terror Squads best MC,. "Endangered Species" is first and maybe only post-death album, new tracks include the lead single "How we Roll" feat. Ashanti is a excellent track where Pun drops addictive verses, among Puns best work ever. "Mamma" feat. Tony Sunshine, follows and is another nice new unreleased track. "Brave in the Heart" feat. Terror Squad and "My World" are also new material and are decent tracks. Classic tracks like "You aint a killer" and "Wishfull thinking" feat. Kool G Rap and B-Real are nice additions, but some other classic tracks like "Toe to Toe" feat. Cuban Link, the original version of his hit song"Im not a player" and "You Came Up" feat. Noreaga are not included. Another nice Nore/Pun/Camron/Lox collab "Banned from TV" is included though. Album ends with some remix tracks, and 98 version of how we roll. I just wish that they had made a greatest hits album instead of throwing in new material with old material, and not really giving enough of either. When you already own both his previous albums this one is not really worth getting. This album is no "Capital Punishment", nor is it like his 2nd album "Yeaah Baby" but it is still has some gems like How we Roll, and is worth taking a look at when your at the local record store."

"this is a fine combination of the finest and latest work pun has done. you have your classics like deep cover 98, off the books, and still not a player, but you also have unreleased masterpieces like how we roll and brave in the heart. despite having limited work to choose from, the people who decided on these songs did a great job.the latin guitar and bass beats are excellent, but my favorite beat is off the books eerie flute loop. the posse cuts like wishful thinking and fire water are all good because it's pun spitting with a variety of taleneted artists. the words from pun's close friends are also nice because you can see how they react to the "latin that went platinum's" death. this is the final work you'llbe able to pick up from this incredible lyricist and i advise everybody, rap fan or not, to pick this up."

"Even though this is like a greatest hits album it still has a regular place in my CD player. Tight songs such as 'Still Not A Player', 'You Aint A Killer' and the unreleased 'How We Roll' are just 3 of the 24 dope tracks from the album. On this album you can truly recognise Puns lyrical genius. Some of the tightest lines i have ever heard are featured on this album. 'Banned From TV' is another song from the album featuring Noreaga, Jada & Cam'ron. That song has one of the dopest beats !! The only bad side is the fact that it is a tribute album, although it is good value for 24 tracks although its not so good if you have Capital Punishment and Yeeeah Baby you'll find some of the tracks repeated.Peace"
