"This is my third hearing of the pianist (other works i've heard being at least 20 years older, on Hatart records) and she has not loosed any of the intensity of the past nor any of her knack for composing great tunes. One of the best trios of 2007. Recommended to Jazz and Free jazz lovers."

Surprising changes - non-standard metres

"The music this trio makes/plays reminds me a bit of The Bad Plus.

It's full of surprising changes and non-standard meters.

The three musicians have an equal opportunity to fully blossom, although the pianist, Myra Melford, does have a leading role.

The three musicians have done a few gigs together in the past, but haven't played as a band, which makes the trio sound less tight than The Bad Plus.

Also:the album was recorded in only one day!



But nonetheless: the album is worth listening to, certainly if you like The Bad Plus' albums.
