Arriola | Los Angeles CA | 11/29/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "In 1966 The late and always great Big Maybelle, gave us "Saga of the good life and hard times" on the Ronjac label. I think this record proves to be her best, she crys, she laughs and she screams! Her heart is shown here on this record! All the tracks are very personal and deep, "gloomy sunday" and "The Masquerade is over" have to be the most haunting songs Maybelle ever recorded. Aside from the great songs it also comes in a awesome mini LP style sleeve, very cool by the way. So dont think twice about this or any other Big Maybelle records! its worth every cent!!!!"
