Big High is the new rock band from Screaming Trees drummer and producer Barrett Martin. The band includes three other veterans of the Seattle rock community, including Mesa on lead vocals (formerly of the Black Vinyl All Stars), Sandy Dickerson on bass (Subdwellers), and Ari Joshua, a longtime Seattle guitarist and collaborator. REM guitarist Peter Buck makes a guest appearance on four of the album's songs as well. Produced by Barrett Martin, Big High's debut album blends a mixture of classic Seattle heavy rock combined with the songwriting and production savvy that made the Screaming Trees an international sensation. The band will be touring on the heels of their debut release, and acoustic-oriented instore performances are a definite possibility.
