"I first heard this quartet on a local alternative radio station, then saw them live at a singer-songwriter festival, and I agree they sound just as polished live as in studio. The dreamy guitar melodies and soft percussion give the album a definite west coast-beach sound, and the lead vocals are a mix of fellow crooners Chris Iassac and Raul Malo (of another awesome quartet, The Mavericks), but a little edgier on some tracks. I use this album to drift off to sleep at night when sleep doesn't want to come. Very calm, soothing, and lyrically excellent. You'll never regret buying this album; every song is worth it. Wish they had more!"
"Big Blue Hearts self titled cd is a wonderful example of roots rock at it's best. The vocals are soothing, the harmonies are right on and the instrumentation is flawless. Listening to the cd will transport you to a place in somewhere east of arizona but north of mexico. You'll imagine yourself driving with the top down and the nightime desert air blowing in you face. The more you listen to these guys, the more you will enjoy them. If you have nothing to do on a summer night, I suggest you pop this cd in your discman, sit on your deck and look up at the stars. I guarantee you'll be transported to a place where rock and roll is good again."

"From the first listen I was totally hooked. The songs are amazing and they have a very old school vibe to them. Think Elvis meets Roy Orbison and you have Big Blue Hearts. The guys voice is unbelievable. I hope they are still around and making more music"
I love the big bluse hearts!

"The Big Blue Hearts sound as good on stage as they do in the studio, how do I know this one of the members is my cousin. They are so nice and polite they give rock and roll a better name. I listen to this cd every day and imajine myself somewhere away from all civiliazation in love with my J.C."
Good cd for hanging out or driving around, beach friendly.
"This is a cd I really enjoy. I had borrowed it from a freind & he had to steal it back. It has good breezy melodies & I found it easy to sing along to. It has what I would call a surfer-twangy sound, very mellow & cool. I think if you like Chris Isaak you might even like these guys better. Enjoy!"
