"The words transformation and meditation are used in so many venues that they have lost their true power. Here is a collection of love songs that changes the superficial meaning of transform and meditate. These beautiful bhajans, sung directly from the heart of Bhagavan Das, bring us into meditation and transform our ordinary daily experience, reminding us that the Divine rests in everything and everyone, including us. We are transported to the feet of the Lord.
He is quite close to us, but on many days, we have forgotten Him.
This CD brings us to the Divine Mother, and through Her, to the Father, where we too, can rest and rejuvenate.
Bless you Bhagavan Das - for bringing us Home - one more time."

"This is a great album by Bhagavan Das, the master of kirtan in the West. Baba has unfolded a new page in his devotional practice in these dark and joyful hymns to Krishna. Followers of Bhagavan Das will be thrilled to hear a whole set of new chants. The beautiful "Krishna Kali" subtly builds to a powerful peak before gently settling us down; "Radhe Govinda Bhajo" has been set on "repeat" on my playlist for months...its raw power evokes the passion of the lover for the beloved, the devotee for the divine.
I recommend this album without reservation. It is the signal work of Baba's return."
Perhaps the best nutone release so far

"i think that bhagavan das might just be the tom waits of chant. as with waits, the first time i heard baba's voice, i was put off by it. as the days and weeks went by, i found that i started to crave the sound more and more. his style is not as musically conventional as someone like krishna das for example, but it is absolutely no less powerful. i highly recommend this album. i was hooked with guru bramha. radhe govinda bhajo immediately pulled me in with a sound not unlike waits' "bone machine" album. Jai Radha Madhava is another standout. i'll not waste more time writing as words do not convey the depth of this record. buy it!"
Splendid highlights, but uneven overall

"This CD--Bhagavan Das' first with the new Nutone label, and the first with Kali Dharma's vocal responses--features a few of the finest recordings in Bhagavan Das' oeuvre; namely, 'Guru Brahma', 'Sharanam Ma/Amma Taye', and 'Krishna Kali', plus a beautiful, if dark and brooding, homage to his Guru, 'Neem Karoli Mahan'.
The remaining tracks on the CD range from the unexceptional ('Mahakali', 'Jai Radhe Madhava'), to the disappointing ('Radhe Govinda Bhajo'). 'Conch Shell' and 'Closing Prayers' book-end this collection of songs in the call-and-response structure typical of devotional chanting. Despite the uneven quality overall, I stongly recommend the CD on the strength of its best tracks--they are treasure indeed."
Brings you closer to the lord

"This album is a must for spiritual seekers and those who love the music of Bhagavan Das. This cd brings you closer to the lord. It is moving and new and very different than many of the new kirtan/chanting cds that hvae come out in recent years. Bhagavan Das chants to the lord and you go with him...his own spiritual practice is clearly very intense and genuine and when he chants he helps the rest of us move to a higher plane. This cd is a must-have for all those who are trying to find a place of peace...this CD helps bring me to a place of joy and contentment."
