In June of 2005 I experienced a week at the majestic Lake Atitlan surrounded by active volcanoes and Guatemalan weavers, artists and musicians. This rich creative environment inspired me to create Heart of Sky/Heart of Earth with its powerful musical images. This music expresses the vastness of the creation source, the sky with it's thunder and it's energy, and Mother Earth awakening. The call of the horn and the song of birds bring the dawn and new birth. Many drums sound the dance of life. You will hear various drums from Mexico and Central America, other percussion instruments, thunder, bird song, the tibetan bowl, indigenous flute, and the Kurzweil keyboard; all played by Beverly Rieger.
