Mel Powell at the Piano

"This is good jazz and a little different from other Goodman small groups because Mel Powell is at the piano, not Teddy Wilson. The label is misleading in two ways. It's mostly the Goodman Trio, certainly not like the great sextet/septet recordings of 1939-1941. And it's an exact duplicate of Benny Goodman, Volume 9, The Yale University Music Library, with Live at Basin Street in small type below. I already had the Yale CD so I feel cheated."
