"I have 19 cd's by Ben, and have been collecting them over the past 4 years because most are out of print and my albums are just too worn. I don't have this one, but I have every song on it. This is a great compilation of Ben's work in the 1970's. I think his best work was from his 3rd lp "Puttin Time On Planet Earth", 4th being "Don't Let Go", 5th being "The Doctor Is In", 6th being "Free in America" and 7th "Little Kiss In The Night". His 1st lp, "Feel Your Groove" lets you here how he slowly moved away from Steve Miller's sound to his own kind of jazzy Mose Allison kind of sound. His 2nd lp, "I Lead A Life" is also quite good. All of these cd's are extremely hard to come by, and while "That's Life I Guess" doesn't have all the good stuff on it, it will give you a great idea of what the general public has been missing for 30+ YEARS! His later cd's are also good, particularly "Bebop City" and "Nick's Bump", although they don't have the same acoustic piano sound, great sarcastic lyrics, and the feel of his earlier stuff. GET THIS CD! It is also available from sellers at half.com. This music deserves 6 stars!!! As always, headphones enhance the experience."
