"these boys have got it. that something indescribable which make the hair follicles on your arms shudder. that they happen to drink in my local has nothing to do with it. if you know and like the awesome late great nick drake, and you can see where thom yorke is kind of coming from, these boys will blow your mind."
Beautiful, but sadly under-rated, a real Jem...

"I'll never understand why Europe makes so much lovely & poignant pop music, while here in the U.S. We're stuck w/ the likes of Brittney Spears, & the plethora of other soul-less 1 hit wonder boy bands... Words almost dont seem adequate for the beautiful melodies that this talented duo creates The 1st song bursts forth, abruptly... A symphony of lush stringed instruments. These guys have a serious talent for arranging music... they place the procussion, violins, & piano just perfectly... This is one of those cd's that you can throw on, on a lazy summer afternoon, or a cool, wintery day, when your stuck inside your room, staring at your computer screen. There are so many high points on this cd, that its difficult for me to pick the best ones. Every moment is wonderful. There are no bad moments on this cd, so i'll just list the ones, that shine a little brighter... "Adam And Lorraine", "Thank You For Laughing", "On Days Like Yours", "You Shaped Hole", "Save"... This duo is grossly under-rated, & i sincerely hope that some american dj buys himself a clue, & give these guys some airplay & exposer, (although i'm not sure that they want any). I would love to see these guys live, & i hope someday that they would come to the U.S. to grace us w/ their wonderful sounds. Exquisite music, from very talented musicians. Once you get this, it wont leave your cd player for quite a while... & while your at it, you might as well get their other cd's, cuz they're all fantastic... If i could, i would give this & all Ben & Jason releases 10 stars... They have 2 important components, they have immense talent, & they ooze with originality... You simply cant go wrong with anything by Ben and Jason..."
A Promising Debut

"If you like Jeff Buckley/Radiohead there's a good chance you will like this. It's pretty mellow throughout, and the standout tracks are definitely "On days like yours", and "Thank you for laughing". Sometimes the similarities to Oxford's finest become a little too much, but overall, a promising beginning."
