"these songs are cut from the same cloth as the ones found on If You're Feeling Sinister -- in other words, they're stunning. A Century of Fakers is as good as it's title, Beautiful is exactly that, Le Pastie de la Bourgeoisie proves they're capable of bringing the noise without losing the melody, and Put the Book Back on the Shelf moves to and fro like a refreshing spring breeze. oh yeah -- there's even a "hidden" track, which is also (surprise, surprise) excellent."

"A great racord, the sound of life. It's great, really. Also, check out Nick Drake, Love and perhaps Tindersticks if you enjoy B&S..."

"I just want to say, that anyone who likes Belle and Sebastian should certainly add this to their collection. Really, you should buy this in the Lazy Line Painter box set. Le Pastie De La Bourgeoisie is my all time fav B&S song (although my fiancé won't listen to it because he thinks the word "bourgeoisie" is pretentious). I consider it my personal theme song; you can take that for what it's worth. The rest of the songs are pretty good too."
Perfect

"I never rate 5 stars. Never. This EP is perfection. It encompasses everything the band was, is and should be in just 4 tunes. Beautiful, melodic, emotional and slightly popish - You will never stop loving it."
A lovely little thing.

"Short and beautiful. Five delightful little Belle-and-Sebastian-y gems that never fail to leave me wishing there was just one more song on the disk."
