Fantastic interpretaion of Beethoven piano pieces

"I'm quite the novice on the subject of classical music -- of the 700 or so CDs in my collection, maybe 30 of them are classical. I'm still learning! But this disc has to be one of the favorites of my collection. I purchased it about three years ago and I'm constantly amazed by the rich sonics and pure beauty of the recording. Ekaterina Murina approaches these pieces with intense assuredness. Infinity Digital has done a wonderful job of issuing these classics (I also own a Vivaldi disc in the same series). Highly recommended for Beethoven fans or any fans of beautiful classical piano works."
Vital music making

"This is an assured and vital recording. Murina's music making is compelling, rich and ultimately very inviting. Never a dull moment. Murina hits the ground running and it's a whirlwind ride. This is not to say it's all virtuoso and flash. Far from it. Great understanding and maturity is on display here. An excellent introduction for those looking for a place to start with Beethoven's piano music and a worthy addition for fans of these works and the piano in general. My mother bought me this cd shortly before she died. I count it as a blessing to be left with this cd as an expression of her recognition and support of my love of music."

"I never heard of Ekaterina Murina before buying this CD - but I figured at this price I'd give it a shot. Well she is obviously a world class pianist. The playing is technically flawless yet as passionate as it gets. The Sonata #2 is very Mozartian and pleasant but I like my Beethoven after he really "becomes Beethoven". Anyway .. highly recommended!"
