"This makes the ideal way to obtain virtually all of the Beethoven overtures (and limiting them to one well-packed cd) from the complete Karajan set, including the often ignored "Ruins of Athens" or "Consecration of the House". You often have no way of hearing the concert overtures, since new discs or reissues of the symphonies are able to include two of the symphonies, or else a longer filler. Sonically, reproduced to perfection ... a typical DG-Karajan quality."
