Synopsis

Album Description
CD comes packaged in a digipak and includes two bonus tracks 'I'm So Proud' (Single Version) and 'Lady' (Single Version). In 1973, rock and roll was beginning to reach a level of quality it had never reach before, and to this day has never reached again. A number of masterpieces were served up in this year, including an album that was a collaboration between ex-Yardbirds guitarst Jeff Beck, ex-Vanilla Fudge bassist Tim Bogert, and ex-Vanilla Fudge drummer Carmine Appice. Though the supergroup known as Beck Bogert Appice was short-lived, it was an excellent group. Repertoire. 2005.

Blast from the past...

(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is an album I still have on vinyl and that I still love after, what is it now--35 years? Jeff Beck was the selling point for me, but I came to appreciate the tight, innovative rhythm section of Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice(both former members of Vanilla Fudge). "Lady", "Black Cat Moan", their great cover of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition", ""I'm So Proud" and my favorite here--"Sweet,Sweet Surrender" are all great reasons to own this disc. A supergroup that could have been. Recommended to all lovers of early 70's rock."
