We are proud to present the exquisite new Malanga Music collection, established with the purpose of uncovering outstanding rare material by the most legendary figures in the history of Cuban music. This material had been previously locked away in the vaults collecting dust, but two years of extensive investigation in Havana's Areíto studio archives have brought these gems to light. This CD release includes 25 tracks of Bebo Valdés accompanying Cuba's most important vocalists between 1957 and 1960, with outstanding arrangements that brought out the full sonic potential of the orchestra's stellar instrumentalists.
