"How can you argue with music from the greatest surfer groups of all times. I am a young adult, but I was fortunate enough to see the Beach Boys in concert a couple of years ago, and they have not lost their touch. This compilation of the Beach Boys and Jan and Dean is a bit short, but every second of the album is quality. The sound is fresh and refreshing, and still has merit in today's society. There are plenty of recordings and compilations available for these two groups, but any beginner who wants a solid introduction to these 7 individuals, this is the album to have."
Has the absolutely killer-supreme version of "Surfer Girl."

"This CD has the demo tapes for the Beach Boys first several recording sessions. The music is rough, but there is heart here. I would recommend this CD soley on the psycho-death-killer supreme version of "Surfer Girl," whic I believe is better, aye, far better, than the studio version we are all familiar with.If you like the Beach Boys, then you like Jan and Dean. This is a nice sampling of some of their hits. Brian Wilson co-wrote Surf City, so it is appropriate for them to be on the same disc."
