"i shouldnt say math rock, cause thats probably the most over used term in the history of the indie scene, but goddam, these guys (along with breadwinner) were the pioneers of the sound. aggressive, emotional takes on rocknroll, good luck finding this puppy, its waaaaaaay out of print, try ebay. oh yeah, don cab cite these guys as a MAJOR influence, so if youre into the aforementioned, check these bastards out."

"Not punk, not rock, Sing The Troubled Beast is a cross between the two. I used to throw this on in the morning when I needed a little boost to get ready for class or work. Atmospheric at times, straight up thrash at others, try and get your hands on a copy if you can. You've come to my review for a reason. Either you like one of the other many bands related to Bastro (Gastr del Sol, Tortoise, etc.) or you're trying to complete your early 90's indie collection. Bastro is an overlooked band that you will hopefully enjoy."
