"I've only heard this single once and specifically only the b-side "Reserve Shot Gunman" (though I own the full album Hex, from which the a-side is taken) when I played it on my radio show at Northwestern this summer. I have since returned to Colorado for college and haven't found a way of getting my hands on this, which is too bad because besides being one of the very best tracks I played on my show, "RSG" is also one of the absolutely most lush, well-produced, and playfully brilliant songs I have ever heard. It's incredible, and it's a shame that it's so hard to find, as it has only since appeared on the relatively pointless Replay compilation. Of course the version I played was a transparent red vinyl 10" but I would kill to have this single on any format. Truly, one of the most encapsulating, warm and positive collections of rhythmic sounds ever recorded."
