Synopsis

Album Description
Barbara Lynn, one of the world's few left-handed female guitar players, is primarily known outside her native Texas for her `60s hit "If You Lose Me, You'll Lose a Good Thing." She's a major R&B talent, too long neglected. On this long overdue 1994 album, she worked with Bullseye Blues producer Ron Levy to develop the perfect set of material for her unique vocal style and approach (she can sound like a female Tyrone Davis). The album was recorded in Memphis and Los Angeles, complemented by the Memphis Midtown Horns and a cast of standout Los Angeles R&B session stars, among them David T. Walker, guitar veteran of Marvin Gaye's major hits.

"Soul Legend Barbara Lynn delivers a set of soulful blues!!! Barbara sounds so good on this release and her guitar playing is top notch! This cd has great songs and production... her remakes of Yarbrough & Peoples 'Guilty', Tyrone Davis'Can I Change My Mind' and her own 'This Is The Thanks I Get' are some of the highlights..if you want to hear a great cd by a great artist, then get this one and if you love soulful blues this is it!!!"
