"I absolutely love Barbara Fairchild; she's a doll! She leads a Sunday worship service every week in Branson, and I have gone every Sunday since moving here. She's a very special lady and her music is so wonderful. The love she has for people just really shines through every time she sings. "To know her is to love her!" :-)"
To know her is to love her! She's the best!

"Living in Branson we see her frequently and she gets better and better. Her personality and loving attitude come through on every song, including her smash hit The Teddy Bear song. You should hear her gospel music including He's Alive!"
SIMPLY SUPERB!

"When I finally found this compilation I was so excited! I have every album Barbara released on Columbia and I only wish there were more tracks on this.Barbara Fairchild was and is one of the most underrated performers in country music. Her recording of songs like "Teddy Bear Song", "Kid Stuff", "Baby Doll" and all the rest of her chart toppers are here and they are all classics. Why her career never went further than it did will forever remain a mystery. What is no mystery here though is her obvious talent and her beautiful personality which shines through every performance. Having met Barbara several times she remains forever a down-to-earth, sweet, beautiful person in every way. Her music is timeless ...Lesser known songs like "Mississipi", "Standing in Your Line", "Little Girl Feeling" are equally outstanding!! Add this to your country music collection. The "Teddy Bear Song" remains one of country music classic recordings that should belong in the annals of country music history. And Barbara, "Baby Doll" that she is outdoes herself in every song!! This CD is simply superb!!!"
If you like Country, Barabra is your girl!

"Barbara now lives in Branson, where she continues to perform, so there is still a market for her music. This is the only collection of her Columbia recordings ever released on CD, so it's an outrage that (at the time of this review), it's not available. Perhaps Sony (who took over Columbia, and therefore own the masters) will either re-issue this or release a different compilation.Barbara had a number one hit with Teddy bear song, but it's just one of many brilliant songs she recorded. All the essentials are on this CD, including her brilliant cover of Petula's Color my world - I've heard many covers of Petula's songs, but this is my favorite. Barbara also covered Petula's My love, though it's not available on CD.Other great covers include Mississippi (a British #1 hit for Dutch group Pussycat, who wrote the song - I think Barbara picked up the song on one of her British visits) and You've lost that loving feeling.Of the original but lesser known songs, I particularly like Little girl feeling, but every song here is a real gem. This collection may now be hard to find, but it's well worth the search if you like seventies country music."
