"Consistency is exactly what you will get from the follow up to "Dancing in the Street". Rick Strickland is no longer an "official" member, but he contributes background vocals and vocal arrangements. My guess is that he was involved in the arrangements for "I'm Gonna Love You" and "I Saw Her Standing There". The harmonies really stand out!Carolina Beach music has been around for decades. Spring Break, Easter weekend, high school graduation and great summer time vacations in Myrtle Beach all include beach music. This CD will put you right there, on the beach. There are several stand out tracks, but the inclusion of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", with Jerry West on vocals is great. Not to take anything away from th Big John Thompson version on an earlier OZ CD, "One More Step", but Jerry introduces a whole new vocal that makes the song very fresh. The Band of Oz get better and better with each CD. They have a knack for performing another band's song and with a cool "beach" twist, maiking it their own. "Your Life to Live" and "Hooked on a Feeling" are prime examples. Great songs, and when you hear these versions, you know it's Oz! David Hicks keeps the shag beat steady and Keith Houston and Joe Kuhlmann have the mix down right. It is the best sounding Oz CD to date! I hope another CD comes soon!Chances are that if your reading this, your probably already a beach music fan. You should try the Band of Oz, if you haven't already. The horns of Butch Barnes and Chuck French with David Franks on keyboards pull this CD together to make it one of the best beach music releases of 2001. Get a copy of "Dancing in the Street" and play them back to back! Oz is a great place to be!"
