"Amazing. Stylistically, this set is not as close to the first Bakelite Radio (Vol. II) as I expected; the singing is softer and the arrangements are jazzier. Most of the compositions here are original. But Vol. III again impresses; it's more varied, and there are several real standout tracks. The rendition of Curtis Mayfield's "Right On In The Darkness" captures the genre to the last nuance, a stunning piece. Vol. II is certainly worth hearing too, great acoustic blues, and a superb reading of Blind Willie McTell's "Dying Crap Shooter Blues" (bizarre title, but what a great tune). Joe Camilleri has proven himself many times over in the past, but with Bakelite Radio he's really hit his stride."
