CD ReviewsBad boy puts the brat in bratwurst LamboFeeld | wisconsin | 06/22/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "Back in the late 70's and up till the mid-80's you could not touch this band. Live, they were killer. As far as I know this is the only cd available by the boys. It has none of their earlier work. Songs like "Disco", "Machines", "Last Rock and Roller" and "Girls,Girls,Girls" may be enjoyed only on vinyl. I'd also like to see "The Longest Night" from the Girl On The Run EP included. Still, if you throw together early Cheap Trick, AC/DC, and maybe a dash of Slade, you would come close to the Bad Boy sound. My personal favorites on this compilation are "Private Party" (probably their biggest hit regionaly), "Midnight Love", "Afraid Of Your Love" and "Thunder And Lightning". The Actual original line-up was Steve Grimm on guitar and vocals, Joe Luchessi (who later went by Joey LaVie) on guitar and vocals, John Marcelli on bass and vocals and Lars Hansen on drums. Joey was replace by Scott Stephen for awhile and then he was replaced by Xeno, who was originaly in Cheap Trick. Lars was replaced on drums by Hector "Jackie" Ramos, who later went on to join Hurricaine Alice, I believe. Anyway, most of these songs are with Steve, John, Xeno and either Jackie or Billy "Friday" Johnson on drums. You can still catch these guys live once in awhile around the Milwaukee area though no John Marcelli on bass. And that's a crying shame. I could use another dose of "Widowmaker". Or maybe some "Shotgun" or even "Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom"." The band Milwaukee almost made famous! LamboFeeld | 05/05/1999 (4 out of 5 stars) "Finally, Bad Boy on CD! No more pulling out the vinyl to listen to the band that continues to blow the roof off the midwest music scene. This CD covers their 20 plus years together very well, and with the last two tracks (Gotcha!, Sex Thang) recorded in 1998, makes you wonder what this band has in store for 1999. The disc starts with "Run From Yourself" which could contend with the rock scene of today, it's power hook grabs you and pulls you through until the last track. You won't be dissapointed in this CD. It was worth the 20 year wait."
