Superb OVPP ( one voice per part ) Recording

"This is a superb, truly authentic ( based on the best research done to date ) recording of Bach's lesser known Passion. I have read that Anna Magdalena referred to the Matthaus Passion as the "great passion," but I do not feel that this work is any less beautiful than, or inferior to, the Matthaus Passion, particularly as it is presented here. All of the performers are very skilled, and convey a great depth of emotion, coupled with the wonderful precision and sense of intimacy that one gets from OVPP. If you have ever worried that OVPP would lack the power or grandeur that one expects from Bach, then this recording should convince you that OVPP really can deliver the goods! I really can not recommend this recording highly enough."
