"This whole CD is just great from begining to end, whether you are a John Waite fan or not you will love this high energy CD. Just gets you moving and singing along. Starting with "Turn and Walk Away" the great vocals from all and guitar licks from Wally Stocker & Jonathan Cain. To the heart-full vocals of John Waite on "Darker Side Of Town" . Then to the really rocking vocals of Jonathan Cain with "Too Far Gone". This CD along with "Anthology" is not to to be forgotten, out of any John Waite or Babys' collection."
TURN AND WALK AWAY

"ON THE EDGE is the last sudio effort of the Babys and the second with Jonathan Caine and Ricky Phillips. Everything seems to have culminated to this as the life of the Babys. Dancing around the edge of success, despite no help from their label, becoming disillusioned, and walking away from it all.As with all Babys albums, there is the life, the dreaming, the stories, and the angst. This is a memorable bow out by any band. Take the name itself, ON THE EDGE. Three great songs here; "Turn and Walk Away", "Rock 'N Roll Is(Alive & Well)", and my favorite "Too Far Gone". Good songs include "Sweet 17", "Postcard", "Gonna Be Somebody", and "Darker Side of Town". The singing is exceptional, both Waite and Cain. If they could have survived the turmoil they were in, one can only imagine what the next album would have sounded like. Even though the new Expanded ANTHOLOGY is out, this is a must if you like the Babys or John Waite. Too many good songs here that ANTHOLOGY can't come close to having."
