"This CD is difficult to describe, since stylistically it is all over the map (of England, of course, and beyond). It must be said that it contains some remarkable instrumentals (2,4,6,8,11), and these alone are worth the price of admission. Phillip Pickett is in superb form on the medieval instruments, as is the percussion section -- marvelous runs and fills for aspiring drummers to learn from. The band has recorded most of this material elsewhere, but I prefer the live versions here."
