Synopsis
Album Description Mark Blissenden and Andrew Burdall, AKA BABY MAMMOTH present their fourth album for Pork Recordings. Baby Mammoth's relationship with the label started when Mark DJed @ legendary club, The Room in Hull (where they and the Pork Recordings label are based) and met up with Steve Cobby from Fila Brazillia and Dave from Pork Recordings. This eventually resulted in them submitting their first EP, 'Mysterious Muses' followed by their debut album '10,000 Years Beneath the Streets', released August 1996. Ever prolific, as are all Pork Recording artists, Baby Mammoth released their second album 'Bridging Two Worlds' in February 1997 accompanied by an LP sampler 12' followed by the LP 'One, Two... Freak' late last year.' |
CD ReviewsGreat fusion Jared Kusmit | New haven, ct United States | 05/31/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "this album reminds me of slow summer days and weird juxtopositions...its sounds to me like kraftwerk remixing Dub tracks with some hip hop influence thrown in...always moving forward and changing naturally, this is very solid and rewarding stuff. buy it now"
