Excellent blend of 90s and 70s

"When I saw the only reviewer give 2 stars for this Mexican band's 1997 release, I was a bit shocked. Thus, I decided to help AV's cause. "Tu luz" is just one of the great songs on the album. I love "Volveré a empazar" and I don't think it is repetitive at all. Throughout the disc, the lyrics are great, and the music and arrangements are so very interesting. The late 1970s feel on "Luna" or mid-to-early 70s feel on "Love" are excellent throwbacks and the singing overall is quite passionate. The feel is definitely more "American" than "Latino", but the styles ranging from funk, disco, jazz, and rock (even a bit grundgy in the opening track) make this a very versatile disc, and prove the band is not only open-minded, but that they really dig a wide range of styles."

"When I heard these guys on the radio, I liked "Volver a empezar", so I decided to buy Globoscopio just because of that single song. Once I listened to the all the tracks, I really got to like their music. Their music is somewhat different, not copied nor commercial. I became a true follower when I saw them perform live at Baby Rock in Tijuana, Mexico. The singer is just full of energy and they played like there were thousands of people there (there probably were about 300 in the audience). Sadly, my truck was stolen together with my Globoscopio. Now I've tried to find a replacement but can't seem to find it anywhere until today when I looked it up on Amazon.Com I certainly must say that they are one of my favorite bands."
