"The grave's a find and private place, / But none, I think, do there listen to Axelle Red" (-Andrew Marvell)Axelle Red has an amazing voice; the very pinnacle of pop vocals, to my mind. This album does a wonderful job of foregrounding her astounding singing--better, I think, than "sans plus attendre," which doesn't do her voice justice. If you own "sans plus attendre," do yourself a favor and get a copy of this CD; it contains quite a few songs from the earlier album redone in Spanish, and better production makes a dramatic difference. Gorgeous, wonderful, definitely worth the import pricetag. The title track, especially. "At my back I always hear / Time's winged chariot drawing near," so buy it directly (and do yourself a favor and get a copy of Isabelle Caux's "Everest" while you are at it)."

"axelle has a beautiful voice.i first heard her cd sans plus attendre in montreal and fell in love with the voice and the mood.i particularly enjoy this cd because i understand spanish better than french,but neither is of real importance.the sound is beautifull,tranquill, and serene.like a blooming rose."
