This is stellar playing. Even my non-jazz friends were into it as it has some rock sensibilities to it though remaining firmly jazz. His cover of Caravan is smoking with the broken open bass line riff. There are some really complex grooves underlying the whole CD but they never get in the way of the song. Very, very nice and that comes from someone who calls very little, "very nice.""
