Synopsis
Product Description Automatic Loveletter is Juliet Simms, a ferocious 22 year old songwriter and musician with a fresh vision and engaging voice- the band is a new and compelling musical force led by Simms s unique and genuine brand of songwriting, which she has been developing since she was a teenager. First discovered and signed, thanks to groundswell of MySpace activity (over 10 million plays to date), when she was only 19, Simms and her longtime drummer and collaborator, Daniel Currier, first recorded with producer Matt Squire for their Recover EP, which was released exclusively by Hot Topic in 2008. The Automatic Loveletter, debut EP came out in early 2009. Combined, both releases have sold over 20,000 units. All have shared the stage with Secondhand Serenade, Cute Is What We Aim For, From First To Last, Say Anything, Between The Trees and Craig Owens, they played Bamboozle and Bamboozle Left in 2008. in 2008 they played their first Vans Warped Tour. Additionally, Simms has worked with other highly respected young stars. In 2007 she sang on a track on All time Low s album So Wrong, It s Right. She recorded a cover of Coldplay s Fix You for Secondhand Serenade s 2009 record A Twist In My Story. And she has appeared on songs by Cartel, 3OH!3 and LoveHateHero. In 2009 she performed with Secondhand Serenade on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The all new album Truth Or dare was produced by Josh Abraham (30 Seconds to Mars, Velvet Revolver, Linkin Park) The songs are not the type of songs that are no-brainers or easy pop songs, Simms says. They re me. I hope the album is undeniable and new and fresh. It s something I m really proud of. Something that when you re recording it you just want to have everybody hear it right away because you re so excited. I want the excitement to fulfill everyone else too. Similarly Requested CDs

CD ReviewsFinally! Duff Myers | Carlisle, PA USA | 06/24/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "After a few EPs, they're finally releasing a full length. Though the anticipation was killer, it was totally worth the wait." An Amazing Effort Luke J. Hollands | Australia | 07/05/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "So many of us have been waiting for Miss Simms to release an LP...And here it is and of course it was well worth the wait, she is incredible. The album is rock driven, anthemic, tender (thanks to the honesty of her voice) and an all round joy to listen to. The tracks range from the stomping rock of first track Heart Song, to the repeatedly played Fade Away, I just can't stop listening to that song, just pure brilliance. Other stand outs are the yearning Hush and the look back track, Day They Saved Us. I mainly listen to female artists, be they fronting a band or are solo artists, I like the female voice more than thier male counterparts and Juliet's voice is stunning to say the least. I heard recently on an eppisode of The City a cover they did of "Voices Carry" originally by Til Tuesday and it would have been a brilliant addition to this album had it been included, as soon as I heard it I knew it was Juliet... I hate comparing but people like it in reviews so they can get a feel of the album before purchasing so I will attempt, she is a little bit of a rockier version of Brandi Carlisle, a lighter voice than Melissa Etheridge with the lyrical context of Alanis or Jewel, early Jewel, she is however her own artists and not copying anyone else like so many new artists hangng round the charts these days (cough cough Lady Gaga).... Loving this album, good music that I don't want to fade away so quickly." DEFINITELY BUY! D. Koren | 06/24/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "Automatic Loveletter's new album is fantastic. Listened to every single song and loved each one!! Truth or Dare is a great album to listen to no matter what mood you are in. Her voice is extremely soothing and the songs are very different than other music out there. Highly recommend buying the entire album, worth the money!!"
