How come this album wasn't an international hit?

"The only explanation to this question is very poor marketing from the record company. This album's got some sure hits (Runaway Girls and Daughters of the Northern Coast), strong pop-rock melodies and songs (Letter from Zimbabwe, Downhearted, Live now pay later). On the whole, it is a great album recorded in Hawaii (I gues they tried to enter the US market) and it failed. Can someone please explain to me why Australian Crawl never made it outside their home country?"

"First heard aussie crawl 20+ yrs ago, and the music then fitted the atmosphere of the time, the cd has brought back many happy memories, It may seem a bit dated to modern times but the rawness of Aussie Rock is still does it for me, get the tinnies chilled the sun block on and give it full volume and you are back on the whitsundays without a care"
