"For anyone who has not heard of this great Australian Icon - You really missed it! Music great, lyrics better. Australian summer in the seventies."
Excellent rock 'n' roll with an antipodean bent

"Australian Crawl grew up in the 70's and they were active through the 80's trawling the Australian pub rock scene and along the way produced a number of domestic hits that are probably etched into the minds of many people of a certain vintage who live downunder.
This Greatest Hits package amply demonstrates the straight rock 'n' roll act that the band was, all the members subjugated to the needs of the song at hand, the Australian feel and the nuances in the lyrics will probably get the average downunder denizen in reflective mood and with 17 tracks there is certainly a quantity to back up the quality.
Other compilations of this domestically successful group exist - presumably with similar track listings. For the casual fan or someone who wants some mellow rock 'n' roll to listen to in their car or office this is a good album. However at the time I'm writing this review there don't seem to be many of them for sale on Amazon - somewone is asking an obscene $299 for it. Either that's a typo or someone thinks they have a collectors item on their hands! Hah - thrown me a line and you can have my copy for half that price...what a joke...$299.. tell him he's dreaming..."
